Liza Vesselovskaya, our board-certified physician assistant, has been an integral part of Arizona Dermatology Specialists since she joined our practice in January 2018.
Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business with honors at Concordia College in Minnesota, before choosing medicine. Liza received her Master of Medical Science degree from Midwestern University which is ranked as one of the top twenty Physician Assistant programs in the United States. After graduation, she pursued an internship at English Dermatology and spent countless hours volunteering at the Phoenix VA Dermatology Department, while simultaneously practicing family and internal medicine in Scottsdale.
During her first year with our practice she completed an intensive internship training program in general and surgical dermatology under the close supervision of Dr. Olmedo and Dr. Barlow. Liza continues to work alongside our doctors to provide exemplary patient care in surgical and medical management of skin cancer and skin diseases. Her advanced dermoscopy skills are key to her excellent record of detecting melanomas.
Liza is an active member of the Society of Dermatology for Physician Assistants, Phoenix Dermatologic Society, Arizona Dermatology Physician Assistant Society, and American Academy of Physician Assistants.
As an accomplished classical pianist, Liza enjoys playing for the community by volunteering at the Mayo Clinic. She likes to spend her free time drawing, skiing, traveling and learning photography.
