Brigitte Sledge, DO, FAAD, FAOCD was born and raised in Huntsville, Texas. After high school, she moved to Georgetown, Texas to attend one of the top-ranked liberal arts colleges in the United States, Southwestern University, graduating with a major in Biology. Following college, she matriculated at the University of North Texas in Forth Worth, Texas for an advanced one-year program, receiving a masters in medical sciences. Following the masters program, she decided to stay in Texas, and subsequently completed her medical school education at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. As a medical student, she developed a deep passion for dermatology, serving as first-year representative and then treasurer for the dermatology club. In addition, she was admitted to the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society, an honor afforded to those at the top of the medical school class.
Dr. Sledge completed her internship at HealthOne/Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colorado. She then moved to Scottsdale, Arizona for her dermatology residency at HonorHealth Medical Group, serving as chief resident in her final year. During residency, Dr. Sledge fell in love with the beauty, people, and culture of Arizona and upon graduation, she decided to stay to serve the West Valley community. At Arizona Dermatology Specialists, her mission is to provide the highest level of dermatologic care, treating all patients with compassion and respect.
Professional affiliations include the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and the Phoenix Dermatologic Society. She maintains board certification with the American Board of Dermatology as well as the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. Her interests include procedural and general dermatology focusing on diagnosing and treating skin cancers, acne, psoriasis, eczema, and hair loss.
She currently lives in Peoria, Arizona with her husband, Austin, and her French Bulldog, Coco. She has also convinced her parents to join her in the Valley of the Sun.
